Garlic is very popular for its antibiotic and anti bacterial properties. Peel a clove of garlic and chew on it, especially with the tooth that has been hurting. You can also mince a clove of garlic with some salt and apply the paste on your tooth for quick relief.
Ice can numb the areas that have been hurting and can help to get relief from a throbbing tooth ache. Take a cube of ice and wrap it in a piece of cloth and keep dabbing this on and around the tooth that has been aching. After a few second when the surrounding area in numb, dab the ice cube from outside of the mouth, from the cheek and it will provide a long lasting relief to the pain in your tooth.
