Who during a mountain trek introduces the protagonist to nature and the mysteries behind each creation, the lakes and the mountains they trek. The book is about mountains and faith.

“The ideas and philosophies around which the story moves were evolved during the times when I used to trek around the mountains and valleys of Kashmir.  I am humbled by the support and the Club and its members that they decided to release the book on the ‘World Mountain day,” said Mr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan, Author of The Man and The Mountain.

“We were delighted to release the book on ‘World International Mountain Day’. The book has a lot of philosophical content about life, humanity, fate, free will, determination and faith. It discusses religion and God in general without talking about any particular faith. A comparison is drawn between struggles of life with that of climbing the mountain and probably explains why people love to climb mountains. Congratulation to Imitiyaz for his first book.” said Mr. Mahmood A Shah, Director Tourism, Kashmir & President, Jammu and Kashmir Mountaineering & Hiking Club.
